We Move Music Croatia joined the Slowmotion Festival in Opatija for an open session, sharing firsthand insights into how the national music scene is being shaped and interconnected from the ground up.
Flagship projects empowering the domestic music ecosystem
During the panel discussion at the Gervais Centre, WMMC presented its two flagship projects designed to empower the domestic music ecosystem. The AJMO! project, run in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, was highlighted for its ongoing support of live music outside major urban centers—a crucial step in strengthening local cultural infrastructure and developing new audiences nationwide. Reflecting on the results achieved so far, it was officially announced that the project is gaining further momentum with its third season currently in the works.
In parallel, SHIP festival and music conference was showcased as the ultimate platform propelling this local infrastructure and Croatian artists directly onto the radar of European booking agents, festival promoters, and international media.

Direct dialogue and sharing regional experiences
The open session sparked a direct dialogue on building regional networks, featuring insights from WMMC co-founders and the initiators of the AJMO! project Dražen Baljak, Davor Drezga, and Frane Tomašić. The discussion brought together numerous key stakeholders and project beneficiaries from across the country to share their practical experiences and challenges. Contributing to the conversation were representatives from Art radionica Lazareti (Dubrovnik), Udruga Artevista (Sisak), Centar za mlade Čakovec, Galerija umjetnina grada Slavonskog Broda, Sinjski kulturni urbani pokret (Sinj), Udruga Kolektiv 4B (Šibenik), Udruga Retroperspektiva (Vinkovci), Udruga Sunčani put (Kutina), and Udruga Vlajter-ego (Benkovac).
The Slowmotion Festival program concluded with live performances by Croatian acts Ki Klop, Maali, Lovro Mirth, and Lynco, further demonstrating the diverse creative potential of the contemporary domestic music scene.
