Meet the New Faces 2026 — The Fourth Generation of Young Music Professionals
The New Faces initiative introduces a new generation of young music professionals. This year’s cohort brings together 10 outstanding professionals under 30 from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia. This year also marked a new record of 140 applications, making the selection process far from easy. New Faces 2026 were selected for their local impact, motivation and potential to shape the future of the music industry.
The number of applications continues to grow year by year, reflecting the strong interest of young professionals in working within the music sector, as well as the increasing recognition of the importance of professional networking and international collaboration for long-term career development.
Who are the New Faces 2026?
The new generation represents a fresh wave of journalists, festival organisers and managers who are already active in their local communities. All of them will take part in workshops and networking sessions designed to turn regional connections into global opportunities. At its core, the New Faces initiative focuses on the power of networking. The programme builds long-term relationships necessary for sustainable careers in music by enabling easier access to conferences and peer exchange.
“The continuous growth in applications confirms the relevance of the New Faces programme and its role in supporting the next generation of industry leaders,” say the initiative’s partners: MENT Ljubljana (SI), Kontakt (RS), SHIP (HR), PIN Music Conference (MK) and SoAlive Music Conference & Festival (BG). All participants will receive PRO passes for at least four of the above-mentioned events, granting them access to concerts, conference recordings and delegate databases in order to encourage meaningful international exchange.
