CROATIAN MUSIC EXPORT OFFICE PRESENTED IN KSET

BUSINESS NEWS

Yesterday, the Croatian Music Export Office (We Move Music Croatia) presented its function principles to nearly a hundred visitors at the KSET club in Zagreb. In detail, the Office explained modalities of co-financing bands, international cooperation with other offices and European music sectors, and presented some news.

Representatives of the Office explained two options for co-financing tours and showcase festivals, to which performers can apply starting November 1st. The showcase festival protocol for co-financing implies that the performer has to apply and have confirmation from the showcase festival. After that, the performer reports to our Office, which will co-finance him. It is essential to point out that the Office will finance all musicians who go to the showcase festivals.

Also, from November 1st, all musicians interested in going on tour will be able to apply for co-financing. Tours with a minimum of seven concerts in ten days out of which one show can be in the region (ex-YU countries) and the other six in other countries will be co-financed. The maximum amount of funding will be 1,500 euros per tour, and the amount of co-financing will depend on parameters such as the number of concerts and the distance from Croatia. In addition, the Office will finance tours for the same musician for a maximum of three years.

The Office will also help all Croatian musicians with legal issues (any type of contract), financial matters (types of arrangements and payment methods), or any other advice related to the music industry.
Anyone interested can contact hello@wemovemusic.hr or call +385 91 252 8303 and arrange a meeting or ask a question by e-mail/phone, noting that there are no wrong questions. The idea of the Office is to help musicians solve specific problems that the representatives of the Office have already encountered.

Also the Croatian showcase festival that will take place in September next year has been announced and the location and dates will be revealed later.

After the presentation of the Office, acclaimed musicians Sara Renar, Jordi Ilić (Tús Nua), Ivan Šćapec (Seine), and Nikola Runjavec (Them Moose Rush) explained first-hand their impressions from tours and showcase festivals. They also revealed some of the “tricks” in applying for and arranging concerts and explained to those present what the expectations are and what to watch out for, and finally praised the Office’s initiative, which should help them, as well as everyone without experience, in the long term in trying to break through domestic borders.

We again invite all performers to send their information if they want to be present in the database on our website and all those interested in applying for co-financing of tours and showcase festivals from November 1st.
