ŽIVA

Lucija Ivšić, known professionally as ŽIVA, is a Croatian-Australian multidisciplinary artist, composer and performer whose work bridges music, new media art and technology. Originally frontwoman of the Croatian post-punk band Punčke (2007-2019), she relocated to Melbourne in 2019 where she launched her singular solo identity, ŽIVA.

Under the moniker ŽIVA she fuses Slavic-pop, darkwave, electronica and her Slavonian heritage into bilingual songs that explore identity, displacement and technology. Her project has produced singles like “Power,” “Dualism” and “Bad Blood,” marking her entry into international recognition. Parallel to her musical work, Lucija completed a practice-based PhD at SensiLab, Monash University (2024), where her research and art installations examine memory, space and identity through VR, LiDAR scanning and interactive media.

As ŽIVA, she continues to challenge musical genres and mediums, creating immersive experiences that unite her Slavonian roots with cutting-edge technology and global artistic vision.
