Vatra is a Croatian rock band from Zagreb, formed in 1999 and led by frontman and songwriter Ivan Dečak. From the beginning, the band built their sound on melodic rock and catchy choruses, which quickly earned them a loyal audience across the region.
With early hits like “Vrati se”, “Gorim” and “Prekid”, Vatra established themselves as one of the key names of the 2000s Croatian rock scene. Their breakthrough to a wider mainstream audience came with songs such as “Tango”, “Saturn”, “Vez” and “Nama se nikud ne žuri”, which became some of the most-played radio singles in Croatia.
Over two decades of activity, Vatra have released several successful albums, won numerous awards, and continuously evolved their sound while remaining true to their recognizable style. Known for strong live performances and relatable lyrics, they remain one of Zagreb’s most enduring and popular modern rock bands.
