TRUTH ≠ TRIBE

Truth ≠ Tribe is a group emerging out of the vibrant Zagreb alternative scene. It is the brain child of Mak Murtic on saxophone (Mimika, Antenat), Nenad Kovacic on percussion (Antenat, Mimika), Nenad Sinkauz on guitar (BadCo, music for Zvizdan, Osmi Povjerenik and other films), and Jurica Rukljic on tuba manipulated through electronics (Mimika, Zagreb Symphony).

The band was formed in 2018 and was inspired by African and Balkan rhythms and the music springing from the alternative scene, rock, electronics and contemporary jazz. In 2018, the debut album “Distances” was recorded and was released a year later. In the meantime, the band performed on many stages in Croatia’s club circuit as well as other venues across the country.
