Songkillers are a Croatian funk/pop band founded in the early 1990s in Zagreb, led by frontman Željko Banić. The band originally emerged from live jam sessions at the Saloon club, performing cover versions before developing into an авторski project.
Early in their career, they collaborated closely with Dino Dvornik as his backing band, which significantly shaped their sound and visibility.
They gained wider recognition with their debut album Fleka (1997), following hit singles such as “Ni’ko kao ti” and “Ne znam gdje sam.” Over the years, Songkillers released multiple albums and built a reputation as one of Croatia’s leading funk acts, known for melodic songs, love-themed lyrics, and strong live performances.
With a career spanning more than three decades, they remain a staple of the Croatian music scene, continuing to release new material and perform live.
