PO’ METRA CRIJEVA

Po’ Metra Crijeva (PMC) is the first and only Ča-Metal™ (Ča as in cha) band. A six-member group that draws inspiration from Croatian legends, myths, and stories, and makes music under the influence of the non-equal-tempered Istrian(a Croatian region) scale and metal. The sound of the band, with polyphonic singing in the local dialect, fierce guitars, synths and drums, is dominated by the sopila – a traditional Croatian coastal woodwind instrument whose playing “thick and thin” is part of the protected UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage.
