Plastic Knives are a Croatian electro-rock duo from Zagreb, formed by Damjan Vujaklija (guitar, electronics) and Nikola Babić (drums). Emerging on the scene in the mid-2010s, the project quickly gained attention for its bold fusion of experimental rock and electronic music.

Their sound is built on a dynamic interplay between live instrumentation and electronic production, combining fuzz-driven guitars, polyrhythmic drumming, and layered synth textures into a high-energy, genre-blending experience. Drawing inspiration from alternative rock acts like The Mars Volta, Deftones, and Foals, as well as electronic artists such as Justice and Crystal Castles, the duo creates a sound that is both aggressive and atmospheric.

Plastic Knives introduced themselves with two debut EPs, Both Sides of the Atlantic and Tongue in Cheek (2015), released simultaneously and met with positive reception. The releases showcased their dual approach, ranging from progressive, rhythmically complex compositions to more direct, groove-oriented electronic tracks.

Known for their explosive live performances, the duo brings an intense and immersive energy to the stage, where their compositions gain an even heavier and more unpredictable edge. Their music often moves between dancefloor-driven moments and darker, more introspective atmospheres, resisting easy categorization within a single genre.
