Pavle Miljenović was born in Zagreb in 1982. He graduated from the Conservatory in Klagenfurt, Austria, in 2010, where he studied jazz guitar under Agostino Di Giorgio (New York, USA). He has collaborated with numerous international and Croatian musicians, including Joe Zawinul, Matija Dedić, Saša Nestorović, Tomaž Gajšt and Mario Rašić, and has also composed music for theatre.
Miljenović is currently a member of J.R. August’s band, with whom he won the Porin Award in 2021 for Best Live Album for Live at HGZ. He also performs with the ensemble led by Vedran Ružić, which won the Porin Award in 2017 for Best Jazz Album with Spiritual Market.
As a composer and bandleader, he has released three jazz albums — Begin., Upper Structures and Arrival — for the label Croatia Records. In 2019 he received the Croatian Musicians’ Union professional award Status in the jazz category (“Damir Dičić”) for electric guitar.
