Nola is a Croatian pop-rock band from Pula, Croatia, formed in spring 1993 by Gabrijela Galant Jelenić and Marijan Jelenić, whose personal relationship and shared love of music have shaped their work from the start.
They released their first single tape Nola in 1994, followed by the album Dio tebe (1995), which produced a hit title track widely embraced on Croatian radio. Their 1997 album Osmijeh included the songs “Osmijeh” and “Sami u Sali”, further establishing their presence on the national scene.
After a break in the late 1990s, the band returned in 2009 with the album Iznad oblaka, whose title track became a major radio hit, was named Hit of the Year, and won a Porin Award. The album also earned multiple Porin nominations.
Over the following years, Nola released albums like Nola Piano (2012) and continued issuing singles and EPs, including Negdje između (2017). They celebrated 25 years as a band in 2018 with concerts across Croatia and a retrospective of their work.
Known for melodic, heartfelt songwriting and a blend of pop and rock elements, Nola remains a respected and enduring act in Croatian music.
