Neon Wife is a Croatian synth-pop/electro-pop duo formed in 2019 by musicians Irena Žilić and Lucija Potočnik. They began the project out of a shared creative connection and a desire to make music they both felt close to but had not previously had the opportunity to explore.
Their first single “Back Row” introduced their style, which blends elements of electro pop and dream pop rooted in expressive electronic production. They released their debut EP My, Oh My in 2019, recorded with producer Mark Mrakovčić, following their longstanding musical collaboration that included performing together in Irena Žilić’s band and touring with Morcheeba in the UK and Italy.
In 2022 they released the single “Isabell”, written, recorded and produced by the duo themselves, with mixing and mastering by British producer Kristofer Harris, and accompanied by a music video directed by Benjamin Strike.
Neon Wife’s music is characterized by electronic soundscapes, melodic vocals and artistic visual concepts, and they continue developing their material while performing live in the Croatian music scene.
