MAJA POSAVEC

Maja Posavec is an award-winning Croatian actress, singer, and multidisciplinary artist known for her work across theatre, film, and music. Born in Đakovo in 1983, she graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb and built a strong reputation through performances in leading Croatian theatres, including Ulysses and Kerempuh.

Alongside her acting career, Posavec gained recognition as the lead vocalist and co-author of the band Detour, with whom she released three acclaimed albums and achieved major radio success. She later launched a solo music career, blending pop, jazz, and chanson influences with a strong emotional and narrative approach.

Her solo discography includes If I Would Have No Fear (2018) and Bye Bye Saturn (2021), as well as collaborative projects such as An Evening with Leonard Cohen, highlighting her affinity for poetic and theatrical musical expression.

In recent years, Posavec has expanded her artistic practice through interdisciplinary projects that merge music, theatre, and storytelling. Performing under the alias POMA, she explores themes of identity, transformation, and emotional narratives, positioning herself as one of the most distinctive contemporary voices on the Croatian art scene.
