Lu Jakelić (29) is a Croatian singer-songwriter. Lu’s debut album “Sve o čemu sam šutjela” reached no.1 on the “Croatian Top of the Shops” chart and kept its place there for 34 executive weeks. Nominated for various awards that year, Lu also earned a PORIN (biggest Croatian music industry award) nomination.
She announced her sophomore album “Šesto čulo” (Sixth sense) in November 2022. Music critics point out her “poetic and dignified musical strength” (Patrik Horvat, Muzika.hr), calling her a “pop-rock poetic-girl next door” (Zoran Tučkar, Ravnododna.com). Fans are supporting her since 2017, gathering mostly on social media (16k + followers) and live concerts throughout Croatia. Lu writes her original music in English and Croatian, but she also co-writes and produces for other artists. She has written all of the lyrics&music on both of her albums.
