Lovely Quinces is the former stage name of Croatian singer-songwriter Dunja Ercegović, under which she emerged in the early 2010s as a prominent voice of the regional indie scene. The project began as a stripped-down, DIY singer-songwriter act, centered around acoustic guitar and intimate, emotionally direct songwriting.
Over time, Lovely Quinces evolved from a solo project into a full band, expanding its sound toward a more rock-oriented direction while retaining a raw and expressive core.
The project gained significant international attention early on, including touring across Europe and performing with artists such as Thurston Moore and Giant Sand, as well as appearances at major festivals like Primavera.
Lovely Quinces received recognition within the European independent scene, including a nomination for the IMPALA award for Meet Me in Moscow (Part One), further establishing Ercegović as one of the standout regional indie artists of her generation.
In later years, Dunja Ercegović gradually stepped away from the Lovely Quinces project, shifting her focus to new artistic directions under the name Bad Daughter, marking a stylistic and conceptual evolution.
