LHD is a Croatian instrumental rock trio formed in Sisak by three veteran musicians: Lada Furlan Zaborac (bass), Hrvoje Zaborac (drums), and Dinko Tomljanović (guitar). The band was created after the dissolution of the internationally acclaimed surf rock group The Bambi Molesters, in which all three members had previously played, continuing their long-standing collaboration under a new name.
LHD builds their sound on the foundations of 1960s surf rock, garage, soul, exotica, and psychedelic music, combining these influences into a modern instrumental approach characterized by melodic richness, atmospheric depth, and a minimalist yet expressive aesthetic. Their music is entirely instrumental, focusing on texture, tone, and dynamic interplay rather than vocals.
The band released their debut album Off the Grid in 2022 via Dirty Old Label, followed by continued creative output that further explores and expands genre boundaries. Their work has received critical acclaim both domestically and internationally. It includes collaborations with guest musicians and producers such as Sven Pavlović, who also contributes to their evolving live and studio sound.
LHD is known for their evocative live performances, where their instrumental compositions create cinematic, immersive experiences for audiences. With a focus on authenticity, musicianship, and sonic exploration, the trio represents a continuation of Croatia’s strong surf rock tradition while pushing it into new, contemporary directions.
