Jazz pianist and composer Leon Brenko was born in 1981 in Rijeka. Over the years, he has performed at numerous festivals and collaborated with renowned Croatian jazz musicians and international artists, including legendary American trumpeter Eddie Henderson, American vocalist Sharon Clark, and Finnish saxophonist Timo Lassy.

Alongside his performing career, he has worked as a studio musician, collaborating with various pop artists and contributing to several projects that received the Croatian music award Porin. In 2013, he won the Status Award for Best Instrumentalist in the category of pop, rock, and urban music.

In recent years, he has dedicated himself exclusively to jazz. In 2014, he released the jazz fusion album Grains of Sand with the band Shugo’s Foosy, appearing as composer, performer, and arranger. His debut solo albumFrom Now On, was released in 2021 by the label Menart and features entirely original material.
