For the past 20 years, Ilija has been a leading force on the underground disco and house scene, both as a producer and as a thoughtful, eclectic DJ. Blending his passion for uncompromising analog sound with a deep love of boogie, his disco maxi singles evoke the spirit of classic labels such as Prelude Records, West End Records, and the late-era Salsoul Records.

In the studio, he has collaborated with a wide range of renowned artists, including Carl Finlow (Random Factor), Greg Wilson, Faze Action, Chaz Jankel, The Revenge, Escort, Leroy Burgess, Spirit Catcher, Stevie Kotey, Boyd Jarvis, The Brand New Heavies, Charles Webster, Ashley Beedle, Fred Everything, Robert Owens, Crazy P, Ron Trent, and Don Carlos, among others.

His discography is extensive, featuring over 70 vinyl releases (singles) and five studio albums published worldwide on labels such as Rong Music, Bear Funk, 2020 Vision, Electric Minds, Compost Records, Tirk, and Defected Records / The Classic Music Company.

Following the release of his debut album The Reveal on Bear Funk in 2011, 2015 marked another milestone with his second album True Colors, released on Is It Balearic Recordings—home to artists like Prins Thomas and Todd Terje.

After a decade of running Red Music, Ilija launched Imogen Recordings in 2015, a platform dedicated to high-quality, original music for a sophisticated audience. The label features collaborations with artists such as Charles Webster, Robert Owens, Don Carlos, Darshan Jesrani, and The Brand New Heavies.
