Zlatan Stipišić Gibonni is a Croatian singer-songwriter and composer born in Split in 1968. He began his musical career in the 1980s as a member of bands such as Osmi putnik and Divlje jagode before transitioning to a highly successful solo career in the early 1990s.
His breakthrough came with songs like Cesarica (written for Oliver Dragojević), which established him as one of the most sought-after authors on the Croatian scene. Through albums such as Noina arka, Ruža vjetrova, and Judi, zviri i beštimje, Gibonni developed a distinctive style that blends pop and rock with Mediterranean influences and introspective lyrics.
One of the most awarded Croatian musicians, he has achieved major commercial success and critical acclaim, with several best-selling albums and numerous Porin awards. His music is recognized for its emotional depth, poetic expression, and unique Mediterranean atmosphere.
