BANANA ZVUK

Banana Zvuk is a duo from Split whose performing and creative part consists of producers, DJs, MCs, and musicians Luka Barbić (TBF) and Ivan Yuri Jurić (ST!LLNESS). These music artists from Split are engaged in researching and promoting rhythms from dub, reggae, hip-hop, drum’n’bass, dancehall, and jungle to various musical mashups. They are just as inclined to new sounds and fresh releases as they are too old classics, which they reach for to inject them with new doses of adrenaline. Their debut album “Split Banana” from 2018 contains seven songs in various reggae styles, performed with the world’s best reggae artists such as Tenor Fly, The Ragga Twins, Skarra Mucci… The album “Split Banana” was nominated for album of the year by the prestigious European portal for reggae music Reggaeville.

The year 2020 was marked by the publication of the compilation edition “Re-Shake!” which includes remixes by local authors, as well as the author’s single “OPG“, which was created in collaboration with Kandžija, and receiving the Ambassador award in the category Best dub/reggae selectors in Croatia.

From the beginning of 2021, Banana Zvuk embarks on a new series of remixes and collaborations with local authors such as Porto Morto, Sara Renar, Reper iz sobe, and Killo Killo Banda… The second half of 2021 brings their second self-titled album “Roba“, which was nominated for the RockOff and Porin music awards. The single “Legaliziraj” from the album “Roba” in 2022 received eight remixes by established producers.
