BALKALAR

Balkalar is an ethno band from Zagreb, Croatia with a simple philosophy: freedom, love, rakija, dance, song, and celebration of life. Playing a mix of music from all over the Balkans in their own unique and euphoric arrangements, they are sure to get you on your feet and dancing to different Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian rhythms. They strive to keep the traditional music of the Balkans alive while giving it a new, lively twist.

The band has been active since 2016 and the members are Pavle Kladarin (double bass, voice), Irma Bulaja (violin, voice), Juraj Valentić (guitar) and Ivan Judaš (djembe).
