The Croatian Music Export Office (We Move Music Croatia) announced a conference and showcase festival called SHIP a few weeks ago, which will be held in Šibenik for the first time this year. Now, the call for musicians has been opened. The official SHIP website has been launched, and all interested musicians who want to present their work on the European and world stage can apply to perform.

The stage of the first edition of the SHIP showcase festival is a great opportunity for musicians of all genres to have their music heard far and wide. During the conference and the festival itself, Šibenik will host professionals from the music industry who are an important factor in numerous festivals, clubs, and media outlets throughout Europe and the world. They are the stepping stone for performers who have ambitions to continue building their work at the international level and to expand their audience in whichever direction they choose. Applications are open for domestic and foreign performers from March 3nd to April 30th, after which the organizers will announce who will be performing on one of the most beautiful stages on our coast at the end of summer.

In addition to the showcase festival itself, an important part of SHIP is the conference, where all participants will have the opportunity to meet colleagues from all over the world. How the music industry works in their country, how to break into their market, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of their scene – all these questions will be answered directly for all SHIP visitors.

We will find out what the future of music sounds like, who is preparing to go from small to big world stages, and in which direction the entire music industry is heading from September 14th to 17th of this year in Šibenik. During the day, the conference part of the festival will take place, while in the afternoon and evening, all interested parties can enjoy numerous concerts by upcoming domestic and international musical talents.

The goal of SHIP is to present the Croatian music scene, as well as the festival location itself, to music professionals from all over the world and to become a networking platform following the example of numerous showcase festivals throughout Europe and the world.

The SHIP conference is organized by We Move Music Croatia (HUZIP, HGU, HUIG, HUOKU) in cooperation with the Fortress of Culture Šibenik, and the conference is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Tourist Board.
