As announced at last week’s presentation of the Croatian Music Export Office at KSET, applications for co-financing tours and showcase festivals have been opened since yesterday (November 1st).
1. CO-FUNDING OF THE SHOWCASE FESTIVALS
The application protocol for co-financing the showcase festival is as follows:
– Performers are informed about the start of the registration for the showcase festivals on the showcase festival website or WMMC website
– The performer registers for the showcase festival
– Representatives of the showcase festivals contact the performer with confirmation of the performance
– The performer reports to the Croatian Music Export Office via the contact form and obtains the right for co-financing.
It is essential to point out that the office will finance all musicians selected to perform at showcase festivals.
2. CO-FUNDING OF THE TOUR
All musicians who have an agreed tour will be able to apply for co-financing. Those tours with a minimum of seven concerts in ten days out of which one show can be in the region (ex-YU countries) and the other six in other countries will be co-financed. In this way, Croatian musicians have the opportunity to represent and connect with music markets and cultures throughout Europe and the world. The maximum amount of financial assistance will be 1,500 euros per tour.
The amount of co-financing will depend on several parameters: the number of concerts, the distance of the toured countries from Croatia, the costs of the tour itself, etc. The registered tours will be financed for the same musician once a year and for a maximum of three years in a row. The amount of co-financing will be explained to the performer before leaving for the tour and will be paid after returning.
