Zrinka Posavec is a Croatian singer, composer, poet, and vocal pedagogue celebrated for her powerful voice and unique fusion of classical and traditional music. Born in Đakovo, she graduated in music culture from the Academy of Arts in Osijek and later studied classical singing at the Zagreb Music Academy under Lidija Horvat-Dunjko.
Her musical expression intertwines sevdah, Croatian folk heritage, jazz, and sacred music, creating a distinct and emotional style that bridges tradition and modern artistry. As both a performer and an ethnomusicologist, she has dedicated her career to preserving and reimagining Croatia’s musical roots.
Beyond her performing career, Zrinka is also an accomplished poet and author. Her poetry collection Maria Callas se baca u more received the prestigious HAZU “Dragutin Tadijanović” Award in 2023. In 2024, she became the first woman appointed as Artistic Director of the national folklore ensemble LADO — a milestone achievement reflecting her artistic depth and leadership in Croatian culture.
