Miro Kadoić was born in Zagreb, Croatia. He graduated from the Academy of Music at the University of Zagreb, earning the title of an academic musician. He began his professional music career in the 1980s, performing with blues bands such as Podroom Blues Band and collaborating with pop-rock artists including Massimo Savić and Parni Valjak.
In 1985, he joined the then Plesni orkestar RTV Zagreb (today the HRT Jazz Orchestra), which he left in 1993 to further develop his musical skills. During this period, he studied in New York with renowned musicians Reggie Workman and Blue Lou Marini.
In 1993, he became a member of the RTV Slovenia Big Band, with whom he has performed alongside numerous world-class jazz soloists and composers. He is a multiple recipient of the “Status” award from the Croatian Musicians’ Union for Best Alto Saxophonist.
In addition to jazz, Kadoić composes classical and film music. In 2008, he received an award from the Croatian Composers Society for Best Jazz Composition.
