Old Night is a doom metal band from Rijeka, Croatia, founded in 2015 by Luka Petrović, known for his work with Ashes You Leave. Initially conceived as a solo project, Old Night soon evolved into a full band, developing a distinctive sound that blends doom metal with elements of progressive rock, blues, and atmospheric music.
With a rich lineup featuring layered guitars, powerful vocals, and deeply personal lyrics, the band creates immersive, journey-like compositions. Their debut album Pale Cold Irrelevance (2017) was followed by A Fracture in the Human Soul (2018), both receiving strong critical and audience acclaim, earning the band recognition on the Croatian scene, including a RiRock “Artist of the Year” award.
In 2022, Old Night released Ghost Light via Solitude Productions, completing a conceptual trilogy and further expanding their sonic and emotional depth. Following a lineup change in 2023, the band continues work on new material, pushing their sound into even darker and more expansive territory.
