MARINADA

Marinada is an experimental pop band from Rijeka, Croatia, originally formed in 2003 as the authorial project of musician Marin Alvir. Over time the project evolved into a full band featuring Alvir (vocals, bass, synth), Robert Merlak (synthesizer and electronics), Marko Čavrak (backing vocals, synthesizer) and Saša Matić (electronic drums and percussion).

The group is known for a unique sound that blends electronics and acoustic elements, combining minimalism, lo-fi electronics and synth-pop with multilayered vocal harmonies and introspective lyrics. Their music often balances experimental production with melodic songwriting, creating a distinctive approach within the Croatian alternative pop scene.

Throughout more than two decades of activity, Marinada has remained a highly prolific project, releasing numerous albums and continuously exploring new sonic ideas while performing on the regional club and alternative music circuit.
