MAMUT

Mamut is an alternative metal band from Rijeka, formed in 2017 by vocalist and guitarist Ivo Jurčić. Emerging from a period of experimentation and lineup changes, the band developed a distinctive sound that blends modern metal with elements of alternative, groove, and socially charged lyricism.

Following their early EP releases Freak Show and Mrtvi Idoli, Mamut solidified their identity with the debut album Nihilist, a concept-driven record exploring themes of societal disillusionment, nihilism, and the search for meaning in a fractured value system.

Their music is heavily influenced by philosophical ideas, drawing inspiration from thinkers such as Nietzsche and Kierkegaard, while addressing contemporary issues through an intense and emotionally charged sonic approach.
