SACHER

Srđan Sacher is a Croatian musician, poet, and traveler, born in Zagreb in 1955. He is best known as the founder and bassist of influential bands such as Haustor, Vještice, and Sacher.

Before fully dedicating himself to music, he studied ethnology and archaeology and was part of Zagreb’s new wave scene. In 1980, he co-founded Haustor, contributing to their first two albums before leaving in 1984. He later formed Vještice in 1987, remaining with the band for nearly a decade.

Alongside music, Sacher developed a strong passion for travel, living in cities such as Warsaw, Prague, Berlin, and in countries across South America and Europe. During this time, he wrote poetry, songs, and music for film and theatre.

Since 2015, he has been based again in Zagreb, where he continues his work with the band Sacher.
