Hiljson Mandela is a Zagreb-based rapper and one of the pioneers of trap music in Croatia, active since 2008.
He grew up surrounded by music; his mother is opera singer Dijana Hilje, and he developed an early interest in the craft. In 2013, he co-founded the trap group KUKU$ with friends, helping shape the regional trap scene.
Over the years, he has gained major recognition, including a Cesarica award in 2020 and a Zlatni Studio award in 2023 for his rising impact on the music scene.
His artistic identity is closely tied to constant evolution within trap, as well as personal themes such as faith and mental health, topics he openly explores in his music, including the song “Sam u mraku.”
