Detroit Groove Gang is a band and collective, founded on December 28, 2016. Built on simplicity and as a reaction against the current rock scene and its polished production, the band creates music spontaneously, in the moment it is played.
Their songs are written and recorded immediately, without traditional production processes or overthinking. Roles are never fixed – who plays what changes from song to song. The only rule of Detroit Groove Gang is that all material must be created together, with all members present, following a pure stream-of-consciousness approach and without unnecessary philosophy.
